back to shalla-bal

i like this a lot. very suspenseful and nice and full-sounding (at least on my earphones).

rexxz responds:

Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate every single listen that my music gets. You're why I do what I do :)

flying cows?

this song reminds me of something i can't quite place.
i guess that's a good thing.
pretty weird :D this could be the theme song for a cartoon.

myxibrium responds:

It does? Holy shit. That's weird because I got that same feeling of Deja Vu too, but its not really deja vu its just like.... its trying to remind you of something but you just dont know what... especially that one part where it gets calm and theres that piano playing in the background.... I think I know what you're talking about there. As for flying cows... haha. Best for me not to go there :)

nice soundtrack type of music. fits the title i guess :D
interesting sounds. pretty suspenseful.

myxibrium responds:

Ya there were a bunch of things I wanted to call this song but when I saw that wikipedia article I was like "woah, that's-a ma song!"

oh i like

this is really nice. i love the athmosphere. you might wanna experiment with distortion units (doesnt reason have a nice one..screamer? or so)

off topic: do you ever listen to protest the hero?

myxibrium responds:

Thanks! Ya I use the screamer quite often, but usually not very heavily. On this one I used screamer on the drums. I've been getting tired of a normal drum sound lately and I've been messing around with effects for the drums. Mostly just... distortion... but I might take it further in the future.

Nah. I listen to The Mars Volta, At The Drive-In, Mute Math, Muse, and quite a few other bands that aren't so popular. I'm pretty picky about music you see (or at least music that I listen to on a regular basis).

intrigued!

this is pretty entertaining, nice sounds in there, (~0.43..)
although some sound a lil too dry maybe (bass..)

..but i wanna know the story behind this!

myxibrium responds:

Ah yes I hurried through this song so that the sound of it would stay the same as I imagined it. Ya I imagined the bass to be really techno-y and simple. But I'll keep an ear out for that in the future.

nice calm menu music :)

myxibrium responds:

you should've heard the song idea that I made with this. It completely sucked haha.

meanwhile in the car

this sounds like a nice interlude, but i think you can do better on the syncopated stuttering drum :)

myxibrium responds:

syncopata-wha?!?! My drums dont stu-st-s-studd-d-der-der.

you never know whats gonna happen next

nice one. i'm gonna dl your songs and listen to them on the train tomorrow.
and the weirdness is really inspiring, too.

myxibrium responds:

Ah, the European train system. I envy you! :) You remind me though... I need to start using the whole weirdness thing again I've been sort of moving away from it recently.
